The University of Florida’s Campus Diversity Liaisons are representatives from the leadership teams of each college or business unit who are networked into the Office of the Chief Diversity Officer (CDO). A directory of the diversity liaisons may now be found on the CDO website.

UF’s Center for Latin American Studies has expanded its collaborations with the University of Puerto Rico (UPR) and its support of the community through curriculum and professional development, events on the Rio Piedras campus and intensive Portuguese training for students.

May marked the one-year anniversary of UF’s involvement in the groundbreaking nationwide All of Us Research Program. The mission for All of Us complements UF Health’s mission: to support health research and improve health for all Americans.

As the University of Florida rises in stature in a variety of educational fields, Forbes magazine recently recognized the university as one of “America’s Best Employers” in its annual ranking of large and midsized organizations. UF came in sixth among public universities and 17th among all universities that made the list.

Since 2015, the Alan and Cathy Hitchcock Field & Fork Pantry has assisted members of the University of Florida campus community who experience food insecurity. At a groundbreaking ceremony on May 7, UF announced it will expand the Hitchcock Field & Fork Pantry.

Nearly 400 employees gathered at the J. Wayne Reitz Union’s Grand Ballroom on April 17 for the 2019 Superior Accomplishment Awards ceremony. The annual program recognizes staff and faculty members who contribute outstanding and meritorious service, efficiency and/or economy or to the quality of life for students and employees.

Under the leadership of Dean Onye Ozuzu, the college’s faculty and staff have developed a unifying call to attract candidates who identify as changemakers.

On Monday, May 6, UFIT will upgrade the Lynda.com service to LinkedIn Learning. The enhanced online learning platform will remain free to all students, faculty and staff with valid GatorLink credentials.

UF’s Office of Sustainability and the Healthy Gators Coalition recognized nine individuals and groups during the annual Champions for Change Awards ceremony as part of Campus Earth Week last month.
