Between Gainesville and San Juan
UF’s Center for Latin American Studies has expanded its collaborations with the University of Puerto Rico (UPR) and its support of the community through curriculum and professional development, events on the Rio Piedras campus and intensive Portuguese training for students. In addition to helping with capacity building and internationalization of UPR’s curriculum as the university faces budget cuts and impacts due to the current economic crisis, center faculty hope the collaboration will result in increased intellectual exchange and academic partnership between both universities’ faculty and staff.
