When animals are injured during storms, VETS is there to help

UF established the Veterinary Emergency Treatment Service, or VETS, after a series of severe storms swept through Florida consecutively in 2004 and 2005. A disaster response team comprising veterinarians, emergency responders and students from the UF College of Veterinary Medicine, VETS is gearing up for a busier-than-usual hurricane season.
