Peter Swaan named dean of the UF College of Pharmacy

Peter Swaan, Ph.D., M.Pharm., a distinguished university professor and internationally recognized researcher in the pharmaceutical sciences, has been named the next dean of the University of Florida College of Pharmacy, effective Dec. 1.

“Dr. Swaan’s visionary leadership and his experience as an educator, scientist and trained pharmacist will further strengthen the UF College of Pharmacy’s position among the elite pharmacy colleges in the nation,” said David R. Nelson, M.D., senior vice president for health affairs at UF and president of UF Health.
