Service Animals

Per UF’s Regulation 2.021 Animals Not Allowed in Buildings, animals are prohibited in any and all buildings with one exception being Service Animals.

In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 413.08 of the Florida Statutes, service animals are permitted on UF campuses. A service animal is a dog, or in certain circumstances a miniature horse, that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability.

Employees with service animals must comply with all applicable university policies, state and federal law. For more information, contact the ADA Office.
